The Chanel Ombres Perlees de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette, Kitty Tron and Chai Tea - Makeup and Beauty Blog
Christmas came early this year! Granted it'south only a couple of hours away, but it really did come early, in the class of these three very cool things.
1. Big Train Spiced Chai
Reader Bunny Masseuse recommended this powdered chai mix in the comments a couple weeks ago, and HOT DAYUM! I actually raised the roof in my kitchen this morn when I made a cup (to quote El Hub from the other room: "What the hell are you doing?"). If you lot like chai, you gotta give it a try (ha! I made a rhyme!).
two. This kitty Tron outfit
I don't take the words to convey how totally crawly this is. Someone tweeted it today, and the showtime matter I thought was, does information technology come in kitty XXL?? Um…Tabby got a big ol' booty.
3. The Chanel Ombres Perlees de Chanel Eyeshadow Palette ($65)
I know, I know, $65 is a LOT of tacos, merely hear me out.
The palette of v eyeshadows is new for spring and one of two eyeshadow palettes in the Les Perles de Chanel collection.
The texture of these shadows is a little unusual for Chanel. They feel almost creamy, kinda like the cream eyeshadow base of operations from last fall'south Chanel Ombres Contrastes Duos.
They aren't creamy in the same way that a solid pan of cream blush or a MAC Paint Pot are, merely rather they're moist like a buttery powder.
The texture makes them perfect for applying with fingers, and that makes them perfect for decorated mornings. I can only pat a few colors on my lids, blend 'em out, and jet.
To come across how they'd perform, I besides tried to utilise them with a couple of dissimilar makeup brushes — a flat caprine animal pilus eyeshadow castor, a domed goat hair eyeshadow brush and a synthetic flat eyeshadow brush — but I got the best results, with the richest colors and nearly even application, when I just used my fingers (maybe the warmth from the fingers helps to distribute the product evenly).
I love the look of big, bright eyes, and these 5 take a super sophisticated, frosty finish that makes the look easier to attain. It's similar the soft brilliance on the surface of a pearl. Frosty, but with the shine turned downwards a notch.
No worries about these shadows looking heavy, either. Fifty-fifty when I've actually packed 'em on, they nevertheless await composite into my pare, as opposed to looking similar they're sitting on top of it.
I wish I could say that I found the palette on sale somewhere, but Chanel appears to be allergic to discounts. Chances are we won't exist seeing Ombres Perlees offered at a disbelieve any time before long.
PRICE: $65
